We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering business in Poole. This is an exciting opportunity to work on internationally recognised products, combining new product development with continuous product improvement within a collaborative and passionate engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing innovative products and improving existing designs by:
Taking products from concept through to manufacture
Designing and refining mechanical components, brackets and enclosures
Leading engineering changes to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability
Supporting prototype builds, testing and product validation
Carrying out engineering calculations and FEA analysis
Producing detailed engineering drawings and maintaining SolidWorks PDM data
Working closely with production, sales and customers to deliver practical engineering solutions
Ensuring products comply with relevant international standards and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
To succeed in this Design Engineer position, you'll ideally have:
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
Minimum five years' experience in mechanical product design
Advanced SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience
Strong knowledge of sheet metal, wood, welding and casting design
Experience with design for manufacture, machining and fabrication
FEA analysis and engineering calculation experience
Excellent technical drawing and GD&T knowledge
Understanding of CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH and product compliance requirements
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skillsExperience within professional audio, loudspeaker design, CNC manufacturing, aluminium castings, IP-rated products or ERP systems would be advantageous.
