Mechanical Design Engineer
Due to recent growth, a highly established engineering firm renowned for their cutting-edge engineering systems and scientific instrumentation are currently in the market for a Mechanical Design Engineer to joing thier dynamic design and development team. Supplying largely to the Research and Development market, the business prides themselves on innovation, precision, and excellence. Their team is composed of the brightest minds in the industry, all dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and engineering.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Design and develop mechanical components and systems for advanced engineering and scientific instrumentation.
Full product life-cycle Design, from concept through to manufacture
Design for Manufacture and Assembly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to validate designs.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using 3D CAD software.
Oversee the prototyping, testing, and iteration processes to refine designs.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements and innovations.
Qualifications of the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the R&D sector.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo AutoCAD, or similar).
Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with team members.
