Mechanical Design Engineer - Up to £500 per day depending on experience - Min. 12 months contract - Based in Ruislip
A fantastic long term contract opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on prestigious Rail Infrastructure and Commercial Builds across London, based on site in Ruislip.
Due to project growth, they are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in construction and design who is able to assess the subcontractors design and submissions.
Job Duties:
* Lead on mechanical design strategies
* Act as Technical Lead and main point of contact for Clients on projects
* Liaise with the technical and quality team during the design process and arrange regular design feedback sessions.
* Prepare technical specifications and Mechanical design drawings using industry-standard software.
* Preparing tender documentation and reports
* Surveying and reporting on Mechanical systems in buildings and Rail Infrastructure
* Undertaking design calculations
* Design mechanical installations to meet British Standards
* Developing design proposals at sketch, detailed design, and production stages
* Attend meetings to assess the quality of M&E systems during the installation period
* Manage and develop client and design team relationships to provide continuous future Business Development opportunities.
Ideal experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience within a building services design role
* HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Design
* Experience in design software e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES
* Experience contributing to design team meetings.
* The ability to lead in projects and challenge designs.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
