Join Our Team as a Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £35 - £45 per hour
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 7.5-hour shifts each day
Are you ready for an exhilarating challenge? Manpower has an amazing opportunity for passionate Mechanical Design Engineers to become part of our dynamic team at our client site in Yeovil.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll dive into the world of design, development, and analysis, focusing on Environmental Control Systems (ECS), turbo machinery, heat exchangers, and more within the aerospace industry. You'll be at the forefront of analysing stress, vibration, and heat transfer across a spectrum of projects and programmes.
Your Responsibilities:
Conduct complex stress analysis using cutting-edge finite element and classical calculation methods, and provide crucial testing support.
Delve into the intricacies of heat transfer analysis, both in practice and theory, and guide global engineering teams across different time zones.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with project and engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Present your findings and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the success of key departmental initiatives.What You Need:
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on heat transfer or thermal sciences, and stress analysis.
Proficiency in a range of analyses including linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue, modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, and crack growth.
Strong familiarity with ANSYS finite element software and classical hand calculation methods.What We Offer:
