Our client is a well-established and fast growing manufacturing specialist of components across a broad range of industries. Due to a strong order book, we are seeking a forward-thinking Mechanical Design Engineer to join a talented team.
Reporting to a Senior Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in product design and development activities. As a mechanical design engineer, you will be involved in almost the full life cycle, from ideas/concepts through to prototypes and production. Solid mechanical design engineer and drafting experience is essential. Full training will be provided where necessary.
Key Responsibilities for tthe Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Produce and update manufacturing drawings
* Participate in new product design and development initiatives.
* Assist in designing and developing test fixtures.
* Conduct development testing to support new product design and product improvement activities.
* Prepare test reports based on the conducted tests.
* Aid in the production of prototype parts and samples.
* Contribute to process development efforts.
