Working within a state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D environment, our client is looking for Design Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering who is looking to further develop their skills and progress within a market leader in innovative manufacturing methods.
As a business, this company has a culture of innovation and development of both its products and employees; you will be exposed to a development plan and long-term progression within the company as they are set to grow and invest across all areas of the business.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include supporting the testing and development team by designing bespoke tools, testing rigs, and fixtures to aid the overall product development lifecycle. This position will give you vast amounts of autonomy and creative freedom to add value to innovative engineering projects.
The Role
* Mechanical Desing Engineer
* Supporting design teams with types of concepts
* Design of bespoke tools, jigs and fixtures using CAD software
* Collaboration with cross-functional teams during the full project lifecycle
The person
* HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline or relevant experience.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team is essential
* Ideally, a minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in a relevant industry.
* A freethinker with the ability to work autonomously and be creative
* Strong CAD software skills (Fusion360, Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
