Mechanical Design Engineer Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

Orion is currently working with an innovative manufacturing company based in Essex who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.  

They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their friendly team and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.  

The majority of the business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for aerosols within the pharmaceutical industry.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Reading and working from mechanical drawings

Layout design

Enclosure design

Conveyor design

Ductwork design

General mechanical design – sensor bracketry/equipment mounting etc..

Mechanical Design Engineer Required Experience:

In-depth knowledge of mechanical design software like CATIA AutoCAD, Solidworks, CREO etc..

Design degree/background

Familiarity with automated production machinery

Experience in a multi-faceted environment

Systematic approach to their work with attention to detail

Team player

Desire to improve and develop their skills

Ability to work effectively and efficiently across departments and the shop floor.

Mechanical Design Engineer Package:

Competitive Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

23 day holiday allowance

Pension contribution

Onsite parking

Mechanical Design Engineer Shifts:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 – 17:00
