Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit-out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4-5.
You'll be working predominantly on projects delivered for M&E contractors, providing detailed mechanical design input through the later stages of project delivery.
This is an initial 3-month contract, with an immediate start available. The preference is for a minimum of three days per week in the Westerham office, although there is some flexibility around the working arrangement.
The Role
You'll be involved in:
Delivering mechanical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects
Working primarily across RIBA Stages 4-5
Producing detailed mechanical design information
Supporting commercial fit-out schemes
Working on residential developments
Delivering design work for M&E contractor-led projects
Coordinating mechanical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines
Reviewing and developing technical design information
Supporting projects through detailed design and delivery stages
Working closely with engineers, contractors and wider project teamsWhat They're Looking For
Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
Building Services design experience
Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages
Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4-5
Experience across commercial and/or residential projects
Ability to produce high-quality mechanical design information
Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
Good communication and coordination skills
Ideally available to work from the Westerham office at least three days per weekExperience working directly with M&E contractors or contractor-led project teams would be particularly beneficial.
