An successful engineering business is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its established team. This Mechanical Design Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on innovative products within a collaborative environment, supporting full lifecycle design and development activities.
Role Overview
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for concept generation, detailed design, and product improvement. This Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
* Produce 3D CAD models and technical drawings
* Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities
* Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams
* Identify and implement design improvements
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Proven experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
