Description:
A leading international mechanical and electro-mechanical system manufacturer and supplier is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team in Isle of Wight offices. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support development, integration and verification of new components, products and systems.
Skills required for Mechanical Design Engineer role, Isle of Wight:
HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or similar engineering discipline) and a minimum of 3 years
relevant experience
Strong experience in 3D CAD modelling and drawing (Siemens NX user highly desirable, but others will be considered)
Experience in sheet metal and machining
Ideally experience in design of enclosures for electronics and knowledge of EMC
Ideally experience in hardware product design, DFM and DFA
Previous experience in designing for harsh environments highly desirable
SC will be required for the role
