Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in SolidWorks to join an engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for developing innovative and efficient solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from concept through to production, in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings.
Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify and resolve design issues and optimise designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Prepare documentation and reports as required. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer with proficiency in SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
