My client has over 90 years’ experience as a leading global automation manufacturer.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for converting customer requirements into accurate engineering data, including assembly and parts drawings. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in providing technical support to sales, including installation layouts and responses to technical queries, sourcing and advising on special purchase parts for bespoke orders, and collaborating with internal teams and customers to ensure project success.
What we would like from the Mechanical Design Engineer:
Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (vocational or academic)
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD (preferably AutoCAD and Inventor). Advanced skills such as surfacing, FEA, rendering, and animation are highly valued
Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially welded metal fabrications, polishing, and custom industrial equipment assembly
Experience in designing rotary equipment and designing with sheet metal

Salary paying up to £40,000 doe
