This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Mechanical Construction Manager who enjoys being site-based, coordinating subcontractors and driving mechanical installations through to completion.

Working closely with the Project Management team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of mechanical works, ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

*

Oversee and coordinate mechanical installations across the development, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements.

*

Manage mechanical subcontractors and the wider supply chain, monitoring progress, productivity and workmanship.

*

Coordinate the installation of mechanical building services, including HVAC, pipework, ventilation and associated systems.

*

Manage site quality assurance processes, inspections, witnessing and installation sign-offs.

*

Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project quality standards.

*

Identify and resolve site issues, working closely with the Project Managers and other construction disciplines.

*

Attend site coordination and progress meetings, providing regular updates on mechanical works.

*

Monitor subcontractor performance and proactively address potential delays.

*

Maintain high standards of health and safety across all mechanical activities.

*

Support testing, commissioning and handover activities as the project progresses.

About You

We are keen to speak with Mechanical Construction Managers who have a strong background in building services and experience delivering substantial M&E packages.

Ideally, you will have:

*

Previous experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager, Mechanical Site Manager or similar.

*

A strong technical understanding of mechanical building services installations.

*

Experience working on large residential, mixed-use or commercial developments.

*

Proven ability to manage mechanical subcontractors and drive site progress.

*

Good knowledge of quality assurance, inspections and witnessing procedures.

*

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coordinate installations.

*

Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

*

Relevant site management and health and safety qualifications.

Experience working on high-rise residential developments or large-scale M&E packages would be particularly beneficial.

Competitive salary of £65,000 – £85,000, depending on experience.
