Description:
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Mechanical Chargehand on an 3 Month Contract based in Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily activities of installation teams on site.
* Oversee primary equipment installation on GIS and AIS substations.
* Carry out and supervise substation earthing installations.
* Ensure works are completed in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
* Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality on site.
* Assist with lifting operations and equipment positioning where appropriately qualified.
* Liaise with site management to ensure project deadlines are achieved.
* Provide hands-on support to installation teams when required.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Primary Chargehand, Supervisor or Lead Fitter on HV substation projects.
* Strong experience with GIS and AIS equipment installation.
* Proven knowledge of substation earthing systems.
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* NPORS or CPCS Lift Supervisor certification.
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Previous experience working on major UK transmission and distribution projects.
