Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Gloucester
£35,787 - rotating shift pattern, covering day shifts and night shifts (which include a premium shift payment excluding day shift of 38.5% of your salary). Occasionally, there’ll be options for working bridging shifts and weekend shifts too.

My client is a world leading Aerospace OEM company and they are looking for Mechanical Assembly Fitters to assemble and testing nose and forestay assemblies, main gears, and side stays, all while maintaining a high standard of quality for each component, along with FOD compliance.
Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Understanding blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Interpreting instructions to ensure accurate assembly
Fitting and assembling parts according to specifications
Using hand tools, power tools, and machinery to assemble components
Qualifications & Experience – Mechanical Assembly Fitter
A completed NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, or equivalent
The ability to follow technical drawings, specs, procedures, and test instructions
A desire to learn and understand the basic principles of production flow lines, and takt times
Knowledge of COSHH and flow line methodologies is ideal, but not essential for you to apply
