Vehicle Mechanic
We are looking for Vehicle Mechanbic to join our client's busy auto body shop based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
The job in a nutshell
Salary: £22.00 per hour
Day Shift: 8am- 5pm
Monday to Friday
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Job Duties:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components
Conduct vehicle testing and ensure proper functioning
Follow manufacturer repair procedures and guidelines
Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a mechanic
Valid driver's licence
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail
Good problem-solving skills
Education:
Relevant vocational qualification in automotive mechanics
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years working as a mechanic
Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough understanding of vehicle systems and components
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in using computer diagnostic systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in automotive technology - Level 2/3
Experience working with hybrid and electric vehicles
