The purpose of the role is:

CBRE Enterprise Accounts is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Extra works supervisor to join the team located in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will provide a cost-effective service to small projects, maintain service, operate, improve and control existing plant, ensuring the supply of utilities to assist the development divisions.
Provide leadership, and that contractual commitments are met and exceeded.
Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract.
Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company
health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both CBRE and subcontractor's activities, and are regularly reviewed.
Ensure to supervise extra works within the London buildings and oversee the delivery of additional works, planned maintenance & reactive tasks. The delivery of service excellence. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload, and disaster recovery.
Ensure CBRE engineers or 3rd party sub-contractors / vendors, ensuring all work has been completed to a satisfactory standard and post holders are fully competent, and that effective project planning arrangements are in place.
Working with other CBRE service lines on the account to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective team working, and support to colleagues.
Ensure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
Ensuring a customer focuses within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
Promoting and maintaining the core Values of CBRE.
Provision of leadership and guidance, advice and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training and assessment.
Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

Key Tasks:

Day to day supervision of the onsite sub-contractors including technical support.
Technical support to the onsite engineers
Liaison with Extra works manager on all technical matters.
Overall responsibility for all small project and sub-contractors for the London offices.
Point of escalation for engineering subcontractor issues.
To support the Extra works Manager in the delivery of extra works & reactive works across the London offices, whether by CBRE engineers or 3rd party sub-contractors / vendors, ensuring all work has been completed to a satisfactory standard
To put together a scope of work, tender and quote for small projects
To program work, organize and supervise all extra work within the London portfolio
Raising of TCM's, MER's & READ's
Producing and issuing Incident Reports.
Auditing sub-contractors.
Managing CBRE CDM documentation.
Management of project budget's
Management of own training inclusive of training records
Participation in engineering meetings as required.
Responsible for CBRE engineering health and safety matters.
Assessing all additional works and production of quotations.
Update of engineering risk register.
Update of engineering life cycle report.
Support preparation and implementation of shutdowns.
Preparation and issuing of technical reports.
Participation in all engineering weekly update meetings / conference calls
To monitor and update Statutory and Non-Statutory Compliance records and documentation
To carry out additional works tasks, reactive tasks and occasional planned maintenance, on own London sites, the production, vetting & filing of all necessary documentation.

Education

Strong Technical background, formal relevant C&G or equivalent qualification

Skills

PC literate
Articulate; an effective communicator, attention to detail

Knowledge

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience dealing with technical issues

Experience

General knowledge of all facets of building services, including but not limited to; electrical systems, mechanical and air conditioning systems, controls, plumbing, building fabric, project works and moves and changes.
Proven experience in managing staff as well as vendor relationships

Aptitude

Pro-active approach, use of initiative, remain calm under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects
Team player
