M&E Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
• Conduct cost estimates and prepare budgets for M&E projects, considering materials, labour, and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control project costs, providing regular updates and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and evaluate variations, ensuring accurate and timely submission of cost reports to clients.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor agreements and manage ongoing relationships.
• Provide support in the preparation of tender documentation and participate in bid evaluations.
• Assist in the resolution of contractual and commercial issues, working closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential variations to the contract.
M&E Quantity Surveyor Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Mechanical and Electrical sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and project management principles.
• Proficient in relevant software tools
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
