M&E Manager / Mechanical & Electrical Manager (Electrical bias) - Perm - Warrington

A leading construction group is currently seeking a Manager to join our M&E Team. The M&E Manager will play a crucial role in supporting one of the Directors along with M&E Managers, consultants and other professionals to determine project specifications. Mainly working from the Warrington office with occasional travel required throughout NW / Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

* Team Management: Manage project staff, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring that each project team functions efficiently within the Retail environment.

* Project Planning and Coordination: Lead and coordinate electrical and mechanical projects in the context of Retail fitouts from inception to completion, including scheduling, cost estimation, and budget management.

* Site Management: Oversee construction site managers daily, including supervising labour forces, monitoring subcontractors, inspecting work, and maintaining quality control for Retail fitouts.

* Procurement: Plan and oversee the procurement of necessary materials and equipment for Retail fit-out projects.

* Timeline and Budget: Ensure Retail fit-out projects are delivered on time and within budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing on budgets, and monitoring progress.

* Teamwork: Work closely with architects, surveyors, and engineers to review design documents and ensure project alignment with Retail fit-out specifications.

* H&S: Promote and maintain health and safety standards within the unique context of Retail fitouts, including conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with safety rules.

* Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, including work schedules and progress updates, to keep Retail clients and stakeholders informed.

* Stakeholder Management: Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with Retail clients, their representatives, consultants, subcontractors, and others involved in the Retail fit-out project.

* Solution Finding: Address any unexpected issues that may arise during the Retail fit-out project.

Experience and Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Electrician or similar Experience with the relevant procedures. Electrical qualifications and certifications are essential (2391 or 2394/2395). Experience in HVAC systems. NVQ/SNVQ qualification in a Construction Management discipline or willingness to work towards it through the continuous professional development plan. Current CSCS Card (Managers Recognition). Valid UK driver's license. Extensive knowledge of health and safety, with either a 5-day SMSTS or IOSH training certificate. Experience in managing multiple sites. Strong man-management skills. Extensive experience in budget management and project cost control. Proficiency in pre-contract coordination. Willingness to travel to visit sites & meet the client when necessary.
