Description:
My client is an established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality M&E services across residential projects. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced M&E Project Manager to join their team on a residential project in Reading. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the successful delivery of the M&E package, working closely with the site team, client, main contractor and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of M&E across a large residential project.
Take ownership of the M&E package from pre construction through to handover.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors.
Manage project programmes, labour, materials and procurement.
Monitor project costs, variations, valuations and overall performance.
Work closely with the main contractor, client, consultants and wider project team.
Review drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Monitor progress against programme and ensure key project milestones are achieved.
Ensure all works are delivered in line with Health & Safety, quality and compliance requirements.
Lead project and site meetings, providing clear updates on progress and performance.
Manage commissioning, testing and handover requirements.
Identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to maintain project delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as an M&E Project Manager within the construction or building services sector, ideally with a strong background in residential projects.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience as an M&E Project Manager or in a similar project delivery role.
Experience working on residential developments.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A forward-thinking attitude with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
Strong professional presence and the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
A proactive approach with a strong focus on delivering projects safely, on time and to a high standard.
