Description:
We are looking for an experienced M&E building services manager who lives in or close to Peterborough for a contract position with our principal contractor client. The role involves helping to bring a unique construction project over the line. Some out of hours working will be required, for example midday to 8.00 PM, but there is some flexibility.
The position involves monitoring and controlling sub contractor teams installing mechanical and electrical building services systems in the new building. We are looking for someone who is qualified either mechanically or electrically but you must have a good all-round understanding of Building Services Installation for both disciplines. The role reports to the PM and you will essentially be his eyes and ears on site..
It is important for our client to recruit someone very local for this position. You could be an M&E Site Manager, Engineer or Project Manager or similar looking for a temporary contract position. There is a good chance of contract extension if desired. Although some out of hours working will be required to oversee contractors we don't anticipate this will be a particularly hard project and it may suit someone recently retired or similar who is looking for a local contract position
