Job Title: M&E Document Controller

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Plus additional company benefits)

Location: Southeast London

Company Description

A rapidly growing M&E Building Services Contractor who are based in Surrey are looking for a proactive Document Controller to manage all aspects of the day-to-day running of the project office; and provide full administrative support to the project team. This is a key role within the project team, and as such, you must possess a strong team ethic, flexible approach, to be able to work unsupervised and to deadlines, and have excellent communication skills.

This is a hybrid role between their head offices in Surrey and their flagship design and build project only a 30-minute drive from offices. This is a remarkable opportunity to be reporting to the Senior executives within a UK leading business whilst gaining invaluable experience to progress your career.

Responsibilities/ Skills & Experience

Ensure that all technical project drawings and documentation notifications from the client Electronic Document Management System; are checked, accurately recorded and distributed to the project team.
To track, QA check and upload technical project drawings, technical submittals, RFI's, commissioning certificates to the client Electronic Document Management System and company project file.
Manage & maintain the project filing system, ensuring the company file structure is strictly adhered to, and that all information is accurate and up to date.
To continuously prioritise documents by always maintaining an awareness of project progress.
Establish and maintain trackers to deliver accurate and timely reports related to document control as requested by the project manager/engineer (e.g. outstanding tec sub approvals, unanswered RFIs, QA Rejected, Status C documents, RAMS, plant & equipment, holidays, installation progress, commissioning, snags etc.
Ensure the procedures and standards defined in the project's protocols and procedures are followed.
General administration (to a high standard), including typing, distribution, copying and filing general correspondence. arrange couriers, order stationery, reprographics, consumables and PPE Equipment for the Project teams.
Maintain the project team competency/training matrix and arrange training as required.
Provide assistance to project team with the compilation of the client monthly project reports and Health & Safety documentation.
