We’re working with a public sector organisation (local authority / housing / estates portfolio) looking to appoint an experienced M&E Engineer to support the management of building services across their estate.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintenance, compliance, and contractor management, rather than design.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across M&E assets

* Oversee external contractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to standard

* Support statutory compliance (electrical, mechanical, H&S)

* Assist with condition surveys and asset management planning

* Deliver and support minor works / capital projects

* Act as a key point of contact for estates, FM teams, and internal stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in a building services / estates environment

* Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems

* Experience managing contractors and service providers

* Understanding of compliance and statutory regulations

* Background in public sector estates, housing, NHS, or FM is highly desirable
