Location : Shepherds Bush
Project Value: £40 million
Salary : £80,000 – £95,000, dependent on experience
Contract Type: PAYE preferred; contract considered
An M&E package covering 2 residential plots totalling 345 apartments, including services & controls (S&C) distribution and amenity/office spaces. The scheme forms part of a £40m residential development in West London.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Commissioning Manager will take ownership of the M&E commissioning package across both plots, with a strong mechanical bias. This is a hands-on management role covering witnessing and quality assurance, reporting directly to Senior Project Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage the end-to-end commissioning package for the M&E installation across 2 plots (345 apartments), S&C distribution, and amenity/office areas
* Oversee and manage witnessing of commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards
* Drive quality assurance (QA) processes throughout the commissioning programme
* Maintain a strong mechanical bias across commissioning strategy and delivery, given the scope of mechanical systems on this package
* Report progress, risks, and commissioning status directly to Senior Project Managers
* Coordinate with design, installation, and specialist subcontractor teams to ensure commissioning readiness
* Support handover documentation and close-out of the commissioning package
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Proven track record as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale residential and/or M&E packages
* Strong mechanical systems background (HVAC, S&C distribution) is essential
* Demonstrable experience managing witnessing and QA processes independently
* Confident operating at a senior level, reporting into and liaising with Senior Project Managers
* Experience on multi-plot residential or high-density apartment schemes advantageous
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
