Maths Tutor - St Helens
Do you have a passion for Maths and enjoy helping young people build confidence? Prospero Teaching are recruiting Maths Tutors in St Helens!
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for enthusiastic Maths Tutors to provide tailored 1:1 educational support to children and young people across St Helens.
Learners may have gaps in their education or require additional support with their Maths. You'll have the opportunity to plan engaging sessions around their individual ability and help them make measurable progress.
This role would suit an experienced Maths teacher, tutor or education professional who enjoys working closely with individual learners.

Location: St Helens
Position: Maths Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Strong Maths subject knowledge
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths
GCSE or Functional Skills Maths experience desirable
Previous 1:1 experience advantageous
QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
