About the Role:

Cover People are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Salford, starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum.

This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators to make a positive impact within a successful Maths department, delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and GCSE. The school has a strong leadership team, clear behaviour systems and a collaborative staff culture that enables teachers to focus on high-quality teaching and learning.

ECTs will benefit from excellent support and mentoring from experienced colleagues, whilst experienced teachers will have the opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking department committed to raising attainment and developing students' confidence in Mathematics.

M1–M6 Teachers will be paid to scale from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Maths teaching in line with national curriculum standards
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and GCSE Maths
• Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Differentiate learning to support students of varying abilities and needs
• Support the academic and personal development of all learners
• Contribute positively to department planning and wider school initiatives

Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE Maths
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for teaching and raising pupil attainment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Right to work in the UK
