Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Secondary School based in Merton, South London are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher of Mathematics who can deliver lessons to KS3, KS4 students. Schools would consider strong ECT/NQT teachers who have highly positive feedback from their trainee placements. You will have the opportunity to work with an already highly reputable school and join a well-organised Maths department alongside other experienced teachers of mathematics. This position is to start as soon as possible / Easter and last until the end of the academic year academic on a full-time basis.Your new role
Starting after the Easter half-term, you will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and other school functions.You will join the Mathematics' department alongside with a few other teachers of Mathematics.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Education Maths and have experience of teaching Mathematics across KS3, KS4. Be confident with the national curriculum and have a good track record of planning and delivering Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4. School is happy to consider strong ECT/NQT candidates with positive feedback from trainee placements. You must be available to start from Easter, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.What you'll get in return
