Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH challenges.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure holistic support for each child.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their individual learning goals.
Implement behavior management strategies to support students’ emotional and social development.
Foster a love of learning and a positive attitude towards maths in your students.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
