We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Stockton. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can deliver engaging lessons, raise attainment, and help students develop confidence in mathematics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating a positive learning environment, and ensuring all students are supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that support student progress and achievement.
Monitor and track pupil attainment, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
Support students in reaching academic targets and overcoming barriers to learning.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and academic progress.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff to support student development.
Contribute to departmental initiatives and whole-school improvement activities.
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote the school's values at all times.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Degree in Mathematics or a related subject
Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of the UK Maths curriculum and GCSE specifications
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
