Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

Location: Bexleyheath, UK

Work type: Full time, Temp to Perm

Salary: £190-£220 a day

Empowering Learning is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team at an alternative provision in Bexleyheath. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young people with special educational needs and learning disabilities to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons in line with the National Curriculum framework.

- Utilize innovative teaching strategies to engage students with diverse learning needs.

- Adapt teaching methods and resources to support students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement tailored learning plans for each student.

- Prepare students for examinations and assessments, providing necessary support and guidance.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).

- Proven experience teaching Mathematics in an SEN/SEMH setting.

- Familiarity with the National Curriculum framework.

- Demonstrated ability to work with young people with a range of learning needs and destination aims.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Practical approach to engaging students and promoting active learning.

- Experience working with children/young people with special educational needs and learning disabilities.

Desirable:

- Training in a specialist SEN area.
