About our school:
New Ways School is an Outstanding Independent SEN School, in South Birmingham, and caters for 11-17 year olds who have special education needs relating mainly to Autism.
The school offers an environment that is safe and low sensory alongside an ambitious curriculum which includes a suite of GCSE’s and enrichment opportunities to ensure students achieve the very best outcomes possible and are fully prepared for their transition in to Further education, employment, training and adulthood.
Overview of the role of Maths Teacher:
- Delivering and planning Maths lessons
- Providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes up to GCSE level
- Helping and supporting individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves
- Keeping a register of pupils' attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment
We would love to hear from people who:
- Passionate champions of students with SEND
- At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment
- This vacancy is open to a specialist in Mathematics
