Science Solutions are looking to recruit a Materials & Testing Lab Manager for one of our clients based in the Wrexham area.
In order to be considered for the position of Materials & Testing Lab Manager you must have previous experience in managing a team, ideally 2+ years. You must also have experience in mechanically testing materials, mainly composites.
As a Materials & Testing Lab Manager you will be responsible for ensuring test programs are efficiently completed with adherence to the highest standard.
Role requirements
Degree educated in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineer, Polymer Science or a closely related subject.
Significant experience in mechanical testing of materials, primarily composites.
Previous experience in managing a team, ideally in a laboratory environment or similar.
Strong communication skills to engage and motivate your team as well as proposing new investment needed to maintain and improve lab capabilities and functionality.
Role responsibilities
Ensure testing programs are efficiently completed with adherence to the highest standards.
Maintain an effective team by motivating, engaging, inspiring, training and hiring professionals.
Be capable of communicating and Laboratory needs to senior members of the organisation in order to maintain and improve overall lab capabilities and functionality.
Develop expertise and explore continuous improvement
