Materials Handling Support Technician

Description:

Expleo are working with a major Automotive manufacturer based in Bedfordshire, who are looking to add a Materials Handling Support Technician, with experience as a Storesperson / Parts Inspector, to join their team on a contract basis.

This position will be working within a major Research and Development facility, where the successful candidate will be required to ensure the timely receipt and booking in of vehicle parts and inspect vehicle parts to ensure they adhere to technical drawings.

Responsibilities within the Materials Handling Support position include:

* Receipt of Goods In / Out, to include unloading of vehicle test parts in a timely manner
* Liaising with relevant departments to advise of parts arrival
* Picking test parts as requested by team members
* Support the Team Leader to meet Stores targets to ensure the performance of the department

Background & Experience required for the Materials Handling Support role:

* Experience in Stores / Goods Inwards and Outwards
* Ability to recognise car parts
* Competent in the use of hand-held measuring tools - verniers, vernier calipers, feeler gauges
* Forklift licence is desirable
* Experience of using computer packages
* Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
* Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
* A team player with a 'can do' attitude
* Current Full UK Driving Licence
