Job Title: Material Controller
Job Location: Manchester
Shifts: Monday - Friday Days
Hourly Rate: £21.66 PAYE / Umbrella £27.58
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:
Successful candidates will be expected to plan and schedule all material transactions using computer-aided programs (SAP) to minimise inventory and ensure a controlled release of material to maintain production needs via MRP. You will also generate and maintain PBOM, LOB, delivery & collections, and dashboard via Excel.

Other responsibilities for this role will include:
* Plan material delivery requirements with the core overhaul team so material is delivered to the correct place and on time as per the overhaul production plan.
* Responsible for the creation of detailed purchasing and validation plans with internal and external suppliers.
* Responsible in identifying kitting requirements and develop and manage storage media for all consumable material at point of use.
* Responsible for raising purchase order purchase orders via SAP using safety stock levels.
* Expediting of purchase orders with external and internal suppliers.
* Management of transport to and from external suppliers for repairable materials.
* Processing invoices.
* Co-ordination of external supplier start up meetings and management of any resulting actions.
* Responsible to interface with other functions/departments regarding all emerging material issues and project risks and generate / manage agreed action plans accordingly.
* Material management of repairable, 100% exchange items, change on condition, fixings and consumable material managed through SAP.
* Provide action plans where necessary to resolve all material shortages prior to kit being required.
* Set up and manage all contingency spare requirements during overhaul via MRP.
* Ensure Inventory is maintained within business guidelines during overhauls through scheduled deliveries.
* Responsible for the requirement of ACOP 1003 regarding Safety Critical material through new part purchase or overhauls - To include CSR's and FAI's
* Ensure core material is not compromised throughout a planned overhaul (float management). Understanding the float and the management with external suppliers.
* To provide Supply Chain support for any reasonable identified activities / requirements.

Person Profile:
Essential:
* Experience of computer programmes such as SAP and Excel
* Good practices of costing, planning and risk management.
* Building relationships with External Suppliers to ensure the project targets are achieved.
* Ability to work as a team with good communication skills.

Desirable:
* Experience of the overhaul environment
