Materials Controller
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: DOE
Company: One of Europe's leading print and packaging manufacturer.
Role The role will be responsible for the control of materials and identifying required materials based on production schedules and forecasts.
* Ordering materials from overseas supplies and control of stocks based on and off site.
* Purchasing outers and packaging in line with demand.
* Responsible for controlling and identifying materials within credit limits.
* Working closely with planners, suppliers, production, goods in and technical
* Responsible for short and long term materials orders and forecasts
* Works with the senior management team
Requirements:
* Previous experience of working with a materials planner / controller role in a manufacturing environment
* Experienced within a packaging and labels - highly preferred
* Strong commercial awareness
* Experience of using an MRP system
* Excellent use of MS Office
* Able to work with accuracy and fine attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
* Possesses a desire to understand customer and colleague’ requirements
* Uses initiative when approaching new tasks, tackling problems and prioritising workload
