Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are currently working with an impressive manufacturing business based in North Yorkshire as they look to recruit a Materials Control & Planning Manager into their well-established team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager this is an exciting opportunity to work within a small yet dedicated team, to create and implement a best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, and procedures in line with ERP systems to aid and improve operational performance.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Materials Control & Planning Manager will include:
Responsible for material demand planning and stock control
Responsible for capacity planning and for development of these services in the organisation
Responsible for ensuring that capacity planning is fully integrated within the ERP systems
Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements
Refine systems and methods to continually improve plans so that the organisation can better anticipate customer needs
Monitor key manufacturing processes to identify capacity constraints and trends
Mentor junior staff
Key Skills & Experience required:
Extensive experience within a factory planning role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Degree (engineering or business) preferred, although professional Six Sigma or lean qualifications
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to present reports and presentations
Self-motivated with the ability to produce accurate work and meet tight deadlines
Excellent analytical skills
