Our client, a lead in the nuclear industry is recruiting for a Materials Analyst to joint their team based in Heysham. Responsible for reporting on planned and emergent work spares demands and liaising with suppliers to improve lead times, communicating any changes to the relevant teams. To be at the forefront of supply chain management and contribute to the smooth functioning of critical operations.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders.
Self-motivated and driven, ready to take initiative and navigate challenges.
Proficiency in general IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on MS Excel for data manipulation.
Ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn new concepts and software.
A team player who can contribute to collective success.
General administration skills to ensure efficient operations.
Inventory management experience.
Role information:
Using reporting tools to review Work week and Outage plans for spares availability and providing feedback to the relevant teams/groups.
Facilitating urgent spares requests working with the Materials team
Liaising with suppliers to expedite spares and build relationships.
Prioritising spares and materials requirements for planned and emergent work
Attend Station meetings representing the Procurement team.
Actively seek opportunities to make improvements in safety, customer service, productivity, cost reduction, warehouse operations and planning.
