Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are seeking an MRP Controller to manage current and future manufacturing schedules, oversee logistics management activities, and ensure timely fulfilment of customer programs at the Stevenage site.
In this role as an MRP Controller, the successful candidate would also report to a senior member of the Manufacturing Planning & Control team.
What we're looking for:
Experience in Manufacturing planning, Supply chain management, or a related field would be relevant.
APIC supply chain certification is desirable but optional to the role.
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and MRP systems would be advantageous.
Good Planning and organising skills.
Communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
Analyse and solve problems and pay close attention to details.
Previous experience in logistics and production planning or an associated discipline would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Kanban and two bin systems.
What you'll get to do as a MRP Controller:
The chosen candidate will oversee and coordinate all planning-related tasks to ensure the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) is delivered on time, efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. The role includes:
Coordinating and executing activities related to material planning and procurement.
Scheduling work in the MRP system.
Managing inventory levels.
Collaborating with the Supply Planner to communicate potential plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.Additionally, the candidate will identify any risks associated with supplied parts and work closely with Goods Receiving, stores, and dispatch to manage inventory levels, maintain MRP system accuracy, and ensure required paperwork is submitted. The candidate will also support non-conformance management controls and maintain the manufacturing bill of materials and manufacturing strategy. Finally, they will contribute to achieving schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs by executing the planning process efficiently.
