Description:

Manage and lead the Material Management teams, providing the interface between the Supply Chain and appropriate functions.

Motivate and develop the Material Management teams to safely deliver continuous improvement in all aspects of their performance and behaviours.

Achievement of departmental and business goals.

Promote and display the company behaviours, values, skills, and competencies, to ensure an end to end Material Management service.

Core Duties

Responsible for leading SHE activities and the wellbeing of the teams.
Comply with relevant legislation e.g. ITAR, PSA, Nuclear regulations, Goods Vehicle Operator's License, DVSA legislation, LOLER and PUWER
Manage Team resources and activities to satisfy project schedule demands, goals and objectives.
Support, lead and coach the team to achieve departmental KPI's by ensuring material is delivered and available to business requirements.
Liaise across functions and internal / external stakeholders to assure that material is available and delivered to business requirements.
Assessing departmental policies and procedures, on a periodic basis, to remove any inefficiencies and confirm that they are sustainable for business needs.
Ability to analyse and interrogate data to understand how and where material issues occur using LfE, analytical toolsets (Pareto, Root Cause Analysis etc.) in order to assist problem solving activities.
Deputise for / represent the Supply Chain Manager as appropriate.
Produce detailed and meaningful outputs which evidences the team's consistent approach to Material Management on a day to day basis.
Manage the performance of the team via PDRs, MPRs etc. in line with company processes, encouraging the use of PDPs and attending appropriate training programmes.
Manage team's attendance / absence via appropriate time booking processes.
Apply the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People (SQCDP) principles where appropriate.
Drive a positive 'Right First Time' attitude across the teams and ensuring that Quality Management Systems are updated and supported.
Support the engagement and communication strategies in order to ensure team, customer and stakeholder participation
