Material Coordinator

Description:

Global Manufacturing organisation based in Barry are currently looking to recruit an material coordinator to work on a full time basis 40 hours per week, fully on site.

You will act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling and expediting of materials. The main scope is for maintenance jobs and Turnarounds.

Responsibilities / Duties

Enters materials and equipment requests via Procurement System and confirms delivery date.
Communicates to the focal point with status updates on orders including any issues such as delayed delivery.
Communicates any potential changes in material specifications between supplier and requests and initiates system updates, as appropriate.
Coordinates the repair and/or return of materials on a value added work order.
Monitors/tracks materials, tools and equipment orders upon receipt.
Gathers information and inputs into the appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators (KPI). Uses metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develops action to improve the process.
Communicates vendor performance to procurement services.
Works closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP) and Turnaround methodology.Experience

Maintenance, manufacturing or other related experience.
