About the Role

Our client is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Production Control team as a Material Controller. This permanent role offers the chance to contribute to our dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of our component supply chain.
Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order Management: Release and expedite component orders, maintaining delivery schedules to support company’s Assembly and After Sales.
Manual Orders: Raise manually generated orders for components outside of MRP control.
Vendor Performance: Monitor delivery performance of selected vendors and implement improvements.
Supplier Deliveries: Track and ensure progress on supplier deliveries.
Meetings: Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss targets and actions.
Risk Identification: Identify and report risks to company’s continuity of component supply.
Departmental Support: Assist in achieving departmental and company objectives. Additional Responsibilities (one position):

Identify and report risks to company’s continuity of component supply.
Manage delivery schedules of FCLs to avoid detention or demurrage.
Pass freight-related invoices for FCLs for China.
Liaise with 3PLs. General Tasks

Understand and follow relevant procedures and training manuals.
Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of tasks.
Support departmental objectives and improvement activities.
Maintain a tidy work environment
Adhere to procedures and compliance regulations (SOX, ISO9001, ISO14001).
Take on additional tasks as requested by supervisors or managers. Requirements

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C, including English Language and Maths.
Motivated, computer literate, and enthusiastic with good numeracy and attention to detail.
