About the Role
Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and successful manufacturing business seeking a proactive and organised Material Controller to join their team.
This is a hands-on role that will play an important part in ensuring materials and components move efficiently from goods-in through to production. Working closely with purchasing and production teams, you will help maintain stock accuracy, support manufacturing operations and ensure materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Kitting and issuing materials for production orders
* Identifying, reporting and helping resolve material shortages
* Managing and replenishing Kanban systems
* Carrying out goods-in inspections and quality checks
* Controlling safety-critical components in line with company procedures
* Replenishing production consumables
* Completing routine stock checks and stocktaking activities
* Maintaining accurate inventory records
* Liaising with purchasing and production teams to ensure smooth material flow
* Following company policies, procedures and quality standards
What We're Looking For
* Well-organised with excellent attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience within manufacturing, electronics, stores or warehouse environments
* Strong communication skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately
* Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties
* SAP knowledge would be advantageous
