Description:

Marketing Lead – B2B Technology

UK Wide / Remote - £45,000 – £55,000 + Benefits

Are you a hands-on B2B marketer who enjoys actually creating things rather than simply managing agencies?

This is an opportunity to become the first in-house Marketing Lead for a growing UK technology company whose software is used by healthcare organisations in the UK and internationally.

You’ll have genuine ownership of marketing from day one, working directly with senior leadership to shape the company’s brand, messaging and marketing strategy, while remaining hands-on with the website, content, digital campaigns, exhibitions and PR.

This is not a role for someone who wants to delegate everything to an agency. We’re looking for someone who can develop the strategy and then make it happen.

The role

You’ll take ownership of the company’s marketing activity across the UK, Europe, Middle East and US, including:

• Developing and delivering the marketing strategy and annual plan
• Shaping the company’s brand, positioning, messaging and value proposition
• Building and managing a new company website using modern tools such as Webflow or Framer
• Creating engaging website, LinkedIn, case study and product content
• Producing presentations, collateral and promotional/video content
• Using AI tools to improve and automate marketing and content workflows
• Developing customer case studies and testimonials
• Building relationships with relevant trade media and generating PR opportunities
• Planning and managing international exhibitions and conferences from start to finish
• Managing email campaigns, CRM activity, analytics and lead follow-up
• Working closely with sales, product, engineering and senior leadership

What we're looking for

You’ll have at least five years’ experience in B2B marketing, but breadth of experience and what you have personally delivered are more important than the number of years on your CV.

You should be able to demonstrate experience across brand, websites, content, digital marketing and exhibitions, and be comfortable operating as a highly autonomous marketer.

Crucially, you will have personally built and maintained a professional website, rather than simply briefing and managing an external agency.

Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms, LinkedIn, analytics and AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT is also important.

Experience within healthcare, medical technology, health IT, scientific software or another technical or regulated B2B environment would be particularly attractive, although specific healthcare experience is not essential.

Experience of international marketing, trade PR, video production or major exhibitions would also be advantageous.

Why consider it?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of marketing within a growing technology business rather than becoming one member of a large marketing department.

You’ll have the freedom to influence how the company presents itself, introduce new tools and ideas, build the marketing infrastructure and work closely with the people making the key decisions.

The position can be based remotely anywhere in the UK, although you must be comfortable travelling to exhibitions and events in the UK, Europe and US when required.

If you’re a broad, hands-on B2B marketer looking for the opportunity to build and own a marketing function, we’d like to hear from you
