My client is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to join their thriving, very established company

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the framework of the Company-wide sales and marketing strategy and agreed marketing budgets, produce, implement and review an annual Marketing and Communication Plan to include:

Digital & print advertising strategy

Social Media strategy

Exhibition, events & sponsorship programme

Regatta support programme

New Product launch programme

Brand and sustainability messaging

Oversee and/or carry out the organisation, administration and coordination of:

UK and Overseas exhibitions

Sales literature – including brochures, datasheets and regulatory documentation

Brand ambassador engagement and content generation

Advertising and editorial copy for all marketing channels

Press release generation and case study/ whitepaper copywriting in liaison with technical department.

Creation of Newsletters, mailshots and e-shots. Distribute though e-mail software.

Data segmentation and management (in conjunction with sales teams).

Point of sale material

Packaging design

Social media posts and related content – imagery and video.

Customer surveys

To manage the activity and contribution of the Marketing Assistant, which may include, but not be limited to website management, news blog updates, social media updates, eShot creation, event organisation, Data Management (CRM, Mailchimp, website, media contacts), social media and web analytics, in-house literature design, administrative tasks and other ad hoc requirements

To act as the Functional Manager for US based Marketing Executive and within the company-wide marketing and brand strategy framework, work with them to build brand visibility and awareness in the USA.

When required and within agreed budgets, work with trusted marketing, design & creative contractors or other agencies to assist in marketing activity, including, copy writing, website management & SEO, production of new printed and on-line sales literature, videos, photography and other marketing collateral.

Ensure website is up to date in terms of images, technical data, contact information, new products & Work with external SEO agency to ensure the website is effectively optimised relating to the company’s marketing & sales strategy. Work with external agencies to facilitate this where necessary. This is to include assisting in the development of new websites when appropriate.

Work with Sales Directors to ensure that customers, distributors and agents have all the relevant marketing support and marketing material to promote the company in their businesses and markets, including foreign language collateral if necessary. This will include liaising with customers with whom the Company has co-op marketing agreements.

Manage relationships with all marketing partners and Brand Ambassadors, including coordination of PR and marketing content.

Produce a detailed marketing Budget to be agreed by the Managing Director. In conjunction with the Financial Controller, maintain an up-to-date report detailing actual and committed marketing expenditure against budget.

Develop and maintain relationships with relevant media for the purpose of ensuring successful press releases, advertising, editorial and product placement. Work with agreed and approved PR agencies to facilitate this if and when required.

Write informative, engaging and grammatically correct copy for brochures, press releases, news articles, mailshots, datasheets, social media posts etc., liaising with Directors, Sales Managers and Technical Manager for technical detail where necessary.

Use design and marketing software for smaller in-house design work, such as advertisements, price lists, datasheets, newsletters and eShots from existing templates or new creative ideas.

Monitor and measure digital marketing activity and website analytics as part of the monthly Marketing report and monthly KPI’s. This also applies to e-marketing campaigns.

Travel to exhibitions (internationally if required) to organise, set up and dress the stand for the show. Work the exhibition with Sales Team if required.

To comply fully at all times with the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines laid down in the performance of all duties.

To provide general back up assistance for other team members, including job cover in their absence, as required.

To carry out ad hoc tasks and projects as required, and to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested from time to time by your Line Manager or Senior Manager.

Help to develop, maintain and update internal and external product training and information guides to include printed and video media.
