Marketing Assistant – At UK Director Magazines we have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join our well-established team working from our office in Ipswich, Suffolk.

About the role

The Marketing Assistant is a new role, supporting the Commercial Director and the Publishing Editor with all facets of the business, including the magazines (Norfolk Director / Suffolk Director / Essex Director), our events, and our website. You will be creating and delivering marketing campaigns to target audiences, identifying networking and social events for the Commercial Director and Managing Editor to attend, identifying opportunities to promote UK Director Magazines, and in addition to attending our events, providing pre and post event support.  

Other key duties include:

Updating the website content, creating, and managing website adverts, and overseeing the CRM system.
Coordinating the production of marketing collateral, creating, and delivering marketing campaigns via email, using Brevo / Mailchimp and managing the trackable links and analytics reports.
Updating the mailing lists, media packs and timelines for the UK Director events and magazines.
Adapting PDFs and setting up basic artworks for events (gifs for socials / Power Point slides / sponsor panel) and website adverts.
Helping to organise social events for supporters of the magazine.
Support with general admin duties such as setting up meetings, diary management, responding to emails etc.

We are open to you working full time (37 hours) or part time hours (16 – 30 hours per week). Offering a salary of £23,000-£25,000 (pro rata for part time hours).  We pride ourselves on our flexible working approach and in return you will have the opportunity to take on an exciting position within a friendly, supportive, and proactive environment.

About You:

You will be confident, articulate and possess good writing skills, with a particular interest in creative writing.  Able to work well as part of a small team but can work on your own too. Excellent attention to detail, have great time-management skills and an understanding of the corporate environment. This role requires a multi-tasker who thrives under pressure with a deadline-driven attitude. You will be eager to make a positive impact to the business, as well as ambitious and looking to grow your career. We can offer you opportunities for professional development and growth in the team moving into writing content, event management, or digital content roles in the future.

It Is essential that you are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have a familiarity with WordPress and other marketing tools. A degree in English or marketing would also be desirable.  You will need to hold a driving licence and have access to a car.  We are a dog friendly business, so you must also like dogs!
