Marketing Analyst

Description:

Are you an expert at Marketing Analysis and manipulating data with ease? Can you code using T-SQL? Have you previously worked in a regulated environment like Insurance or Financial Services? If so, we need you!

We're looking for a Marketing Analyst to join the Commercial & Marketing team with our client. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the marketing team, translating business requirements into actionable insights through data analysis, propensity modelling, and the development of BI reporting. You will leverage your skills in data analytics, segmentation, and model development to enhance our marketing capabilities and improve customer outcomes.

Core Skills Required of the Marketing Analyst:

Experience analysing marketing data using T-SQL and/or Python
Experience in statistical modelling
Experience developing BI reports using Power BI or similar toolsResponsibilities of the Marketing Analyst:

Design, develop, and optimize marketing data models to support new and existing marketing initiatives
Create and maintain marketing campaign performance BI reports
Analyse the quality of data generated through marketing activities, understand its impact on performance, and determine root causes
Segment customer data to improve the customer experience and drive value through improved targeting
Solve technically complex marketing questions and assist non-technical colleagues in understanding results
Collaborate with external marketing agencies to extract and supply transformed compliant data for marketing activities
Comply with the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values, guidelines, and other relevant standards/regulations
Participate in annual staff appraisal, staff development, and in-service training activities in line with the Commercial Data Competency FrameworkExperience required of the Marketing Analyst:

Proven experience in statistical modelling
Extensive experience coding with T-SQL and/or Python, manipulating large datasets
Extensive experience analysing marketing data
Experience using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX
Experience in a marketing/insurance environment is advantageous
Superb communication and collaboration skills
Ability to decompose complex data requests into a simple roadmap of deliverables
Passion for creating data structures, models, and reports that solve business problems
