Location: Gosport
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000
Working Hours: 39 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Gosport depot.

Duties and responsibilities:

Continually improve the way they contribute to the business.
Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change.
Ensure that they work in an effective collaborative manner with staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours at all times.
To instruct Electrical & Electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.
To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance.
To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
To carry out equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Qualifications and experience:

Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses with an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control and Waste Processing.
Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years).
Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses.
Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 engineering in relevant subject matter.
Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
