Manufacturing Technician
Crawley | £29,000 per annum | Permanent | Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
Talented People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist engineering business based in Crawley, for a Manufacturing Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role would suit someone who has previous soldering experience and enjoys practical, hands-on work. You'll be working within a busy workshop, repairing, assembling and testing specialist equipment used within the aviation industry.
You'll be joining an experienced team where you'll receive ongoing training and support to develop your technical skills and knowledge.
The Role
As a Manufacturing Technician, your day-to-day duties will include:
* Repairing and maintaining aviation headsets, leads and adaptors.
* Diagnosing electronic faults, with support from senior technicians where required.
* Assembling and testing new equipment.
* Carrying out precision soldering on electronic components.
* Reading and working from technical drawings and wiring schematics.
* Completing quality checks and testing throughout the repair and assembly process.
* Accurately completing repair records, test documentation and production paperwork.
* Maintaining workshop equipment and keeping your work area clean and organised.
* Following all relevant health and safety procedures.
* Taking part in ongoing training and development
Experience and Qualifications
* Previous soldering experience is essential
* Basic understanding of electronics and fault finding
* Experience within electronics, manufacturing, assembly or repair.
* Experience reading technical drawings or schematics, or the ability to learn.
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload.
