Manufacturing Team Lead
Location: Stansted
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Hours: 7am – 7pm, 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Team Lead to join a busy food manufacturing environment on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in food manufacturing who enjoys leading a team and is looking to develop their skills towards a future Shift Manager position.
You will play a key role in supporting the production team, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the production team, promoting a positive and respectful working environment.
Maintain a strong food safety culture and ensure all products meet the required quality standards.
Ensure team members follow Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Support the training and development of team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Monitor production performance against targets, including safety, quality, cost and output.
Help identify and resolve production issues, making decisions to improve performance.
Cover the Shift Manager's responsibilities during periods of absence.
Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain smooth production operations.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years' experience within the FMCG food manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge of food manufacturing processes, food safety and Health & Safety requirements.
Experience supporting, motivating or leading a team within a production environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to interpret production data and use it to improve performance.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work under pressure.
A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to build effective working relationships.
What's on Offer?
Salary of £38,000 per annum.
Fixed-term contract opportunity – until July 2027 – permanent role possible
4 on / 4 off shift pattern, working 7am – 7pm.
