About the Role

Workforce is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Redditch for an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to join their production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will supervise a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing teams, driving efficiency, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies.

Supervising, motivating and organising team members to maximise productivity and performance.

Monitoring production processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Diagnosing equipment faults and coordinating repairs.

Carrying out basic maintenance tasks and fitting replacement parts where required.

Responding to breakdowns, emergencies and unplanned maintenance issues.

Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.

Monitoring stock levels of materials and equipment.

Completing production and quality documentation accurately and promptly.

Supporting the training and development of team members.

Ensuring production targets and operational KPIs are achieved.

Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of three years' supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience managing people, including performance management and disciplinary processes.

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

The ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.

Experience working to quality standards and achieving production targets.

Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

A hands-on approach with the flexibility to support operational activities when required.

The ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or experience.

Experience within plastics manufacturing or a similar production environment.

Working Hours

Rotating shift pattern:

06:00 – 14:00

14:00 – 22:00

Monday to Friday, with occasional night shift cover required during periods of holiday absence.
